Snaptastic™ Orange Flame Snapdragon Care

Plant Snaptastic™ Orange Flame Snapdragon in full sun for healthy growth and flowering. It grows best in well-drained soil with a neutral pH. This annual needs moderate moisture, so keep its soil moist but not soggy. Use a balanced fertilizer every 2-4 weeks once flowers start to bloom. Pinching can encourage more lateral branching for heavier flower production. Simply snip off the stem above a few sets of leaves on young plants. Deadheading will also help snapdragons continuously bloom. To prevent this snapdragon from going to seed, cut off spent flower spikes above the leaves. 

Snaptastic™ Orange Flame Snapdragon is a short-lived perennial in zones 8-11. Mulching can offer more winter protection by insulating the soil. In cooler zones, treat this plant as an annual. Like all snapdragons, Snaptastic™ Orange Flame Snapdragon flowers best in the cooler seasons of spring and fall; expect less growth and flowering in the heat of summer. Snapdragons can handle a few frosts but do not overwinter well indoors as houseplants. In mild climate zones, container-grown snapdragons can be brought to a sheltered, unheated location to overwinter.
