- One-Piece Stainless Steel
- Extra-Long Handle
- Made In The USA
- Lifetime Warranty
The Stainless Steel All Pro Weeder is built for the weeds that make lesser tools twist and bend. Its one-piece stainless steel body uses 3/4-inch tubing formed into a sharpened V tip, so it slips into soil cleanly and grabs taproots with leverage instead of brute force. At 13 inches long and about 0.75 pounds, it has enough length to work dandelions and deep-rooted troublemakers without putting your knuckles in the dirt. We recommend it for anyone who’s tired of replacing flimsy weeders every season.
The V end works like a root fork. Push it alongside the crown, wiggle to loosen, then lever back to lift the root as intact as the soil will allow. The extra-long handle gives you control in compacted beds and lawn edges, and the leather lanyard keeps it close or lets you hang it up where you’ll remember it.
Product Specs
- Overall length: 13 inches
- Tubing size: 3/4" stainless steel
- Tip width: Flattened to a 1" wide fork
- Weight: 0.75 lb
Product Tips
- Insert the V tip just outside the weed’s crown, then angle toward the taproot before levering.
- For big taproots, loosen on two sides first to reduce breakage.
- In dry, compacted soil, water the area lightly first so the tool can slide in without excessive force.
- Use the lanyard on your wrist when working in tall grass so the tool doesn’t get set down and lost.
- Rinse and dry after use; stainless resists rust, but clean tools stay sharper and feel better.
FAQs
What kinds of weeds is this best for?
It’s especially good for taproot weeds like dandelions, thistle, burdock, and similar deep-rooted invaders where you want to lift the root instead of snapping it off.
How to use the Stainless Steel All Pro Weeder?
Place the V tip next to the weed, push it into the soil along the root line, then rock the handle back and forth to loosen the soil. Lever back to lift the crown, and pull the weed once it releases. If the root resists, repeat from a second angle before tugging.
Will it bend in tough soil?
It’s made from one-piece stainless steel and designed for heavy use, so it’s far less likely to bend than typical thin stamped weeders.
What is the leather string for?
It works as a wrist lanyard while you’re weeding and also as a hanging loop for storage.
Where is it made and what warranty does it have?
Wilcox makes it in the USA and backs it with a lifetime warranty.
