Growing Zones
Confederate Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides), also known as Star Jasmine is a vigorous, fast growing vine with fragrant white flowers in spring or summer. Needs support, such as a fence, post, or tree. Makes an attractive living fence. Can also cover walls and terraces. If pinched back, can also grow as a groundcover. Will not attach to masonry without additional support. Evergreen in warmer zones.
Star Jasmine Vine Care
Water well to establish and keep soil moist throughout the first growing season. Mulch to conserve moisture and discourage weeds. Once established, tolerates some drought. Plant in well-drained, average soil, amended with compost or leaf mold. Grows well in both alkaline and acidic soils.
Star Jasmine Vine Spacing
For best spacing plant your Large Leaf Confederate Jasmine 4' apart.
