Strawberry Seduction Yarrow, or Achillea 'Strawberry Seduction ' is a tantalizing, easy-to-grow yarrow that is perfect for a no-fuss, low-maintenance garden. This rich, aromatic flower grows small, red-shaded flowers with yellow button centers, held together in wide, flat clusters. The leaves are finely divided and provide excellent contrast in vivid shades of green. Strawberry Seduction Yarrow reaches heights of 18 to 20 inches with a spread of 18 to 22 inches. It is a summer bloomer with long-lasting strawberry-hued flowers that will seduce you all season.
Strawberry Seduction Yarrow, bred by Plants That Work, attracts butterflies and beneficial pollinators with its lovely summer colors. It is deer, critter, and disease resistant, and both drought and heat tolerant. This hardy Yarrow is virtually maintenance free and an excellent choice for budding gardeners. You can easily cut and dry Strawberry Seduction Yarrow for winter arrangements and bouquets.
Strawberry Seduction Yarrow Care
Strawberry Seduction can grow well in a variety of growing conditions. Optimal conditions are full to partial sun and well-drained to dry soil. Rich soils can make yarrow willowy and top heavy. Strawberry Seduction requires consistent watering, but will grow even in dry conditions once it reaches maturity. To prune your Strawberry Seduction, wait until the bloom is done, then remove spent flowers by cutting the plant back by half.
Strawberry Seduction Yarrow Spacing
Strawberry Seduction can be planted in mass along borders and walkways. They are great as cut flowers to provide bouquets and arrangements with beautiful red and pink swashes of color. You should space your Strawberry Seduction Yarrow plants 3 to 4 feet apart. They work well in planters as both a “filler” and a “thriller”.
