Grow your own bouquet of mini roses through the summer with Sunblaze® Yellow Mini Rose. This diminutive shrub rose has the best attributes of a full-size plant while being the perfect choice to grow in a decorative pot. The perfectly shaped, sunny yellow flowers bloom for months, while the plant only reaches a maximum height and spread of 18 inches. The Sunblaze® series of miniature roses was bred in France and grows on its own rootstock, which makes these beauties far more cold hardy than they appear.

The medium green foliage is clean and disease resistant, and less likely to drop prematurely like other varieties of miniature roses. The stems grow upright and strong but have few if any thorns. The flowers absolutely smother this tiny plant, making it a lovely ground cover in a sunny garden border or filler plant in a seasonal mixed container. It also grows well indoors as a houseplant.

Sunblaze® Yellow Mini Rose Care

Miniature Roses require as much sun exposure as possible while receiving consistent moisture. Garden beds should have well-draining and moderately rich soil, while containers require an all-purpose potting mix that has plenty of perlite added for drainage and moisture retention. Fertilize with a diluted liquid seaweed or fish emulsion every 2-3 weeks and mulch plants with sieved compost or worm castings.

Miniature roses require minimal pruning. A light cutback of spent flowers, or deadheading, will keep the plant neat and encourage more flowers to develop. Make sure to make cuts farther down the stem, just above a set of leaves to keep the rose compact and dense.

Yellow Mini Rose can be brought indoors for the winter months to grow as a houseplant. While the plant is still blooming at the end of summer, begin to acclimate the plant to a semi-shaded spot outside for 1-2 weeks. Bring the plant inside, and place it near your brightest window. A south or southwest-facing exposure is ideal. Reduce watering to once a week, and stop fertilizing as the flower production declines. The plant should maintain foliage growth for most of the winter, developing flower buds as the days lengthen in the spring.

Sunblaze® Yellow Mini Rose Spacing

The Sunblaze® Mini Rose matures to a compact 18 inches tall and wide. Spacing plants at 14 inches, center to center, will provide dense growth in a garden bed. Plant your Yellow Mini Rose in a 10-inch pot for growing on a deck, patio, or indoor windowsill.

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.
