Your struggle to find a shrub that will bloom most of the summer is over. Sunny Anniversary Abelia is the solution to your strife. This deciduous plant produces numerous multi-colored yellow trumpet-shaped fragrant blossoms with peachy pink colored centers near the ends of its arching branches from mid-summer into early fall.

Abelia x grandiflora 'Minduo1' is hardy in USDA planting zones 6 to 9. It can be grown in a sunny or partially sunny location. This rabbit and deer resistant plant will grow to be 3 or 4 feet wide and tall at maturity in a fountain-like growth pattern. Its glossy green leaves make the plant an attractive addition to your landscape even when it’s not in bloom. The flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

Sunny Anniversary Abelia Care

This no-maintenance plant produces flowers on new growth. If you want to prune to produce a desired shape, be sure to prune before new growth begins. It can also withstand dry conditions but should be watered during dry periods when planted in a container.

Sunny Anniversary Abelia Spacing

Sunny Anniversary Abelia can be grown as a low hedge, as a specimen plant or as part of a perennial garden. It can also be grown in a container on your patio or deck. Space multiple plants 3 to 4 feet apart on center to avoid crowding them.

    Love my Sunny Anniversary...

Posted by geri baker on Apr 26, 2021

They were small , too small to survive Texas heat and Texas clay dirt . So I have them in individual pots till they grow up a bit. I will keep them in the pots until this December and plant them then. They are doing great , lots of new growth really very satisfied them
