- Width 12-16 Inches
- Use as a filler when using in containers
- Award winning continuous blooming plant!
There have been a lot of improvements in nemesia (knee-me-see-ah) and the Sunsatia series is a fine example. Prized for its intense cranberry red flowers, this one joins three other colors in the Sunsatia family. The improvements include larger flowers and better tolerance of hot weather. It gets about 10 inches tall and has a 16- to 18-inch spread or trail.
Sunsatia Cranberry Red nemesia does great in containers, where it works as a mounded filler with a slight trailing habit. It needs good drainage, which is sometimes harder to control in landscape plantings.
Sunsatia® Cranberry Red Nemesia Care
Nemesias tend to do best in spring and fall, when temperatures are cooler. In summer, the plants may get scraggly or stop blooming, if it gets too hot, especially at night. If that happens, snip the plant back. It may revive when fall arrives.
Fertilize regularly, according to label directions. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. In a container, use a high quality potting mix, which is specially formulated to promote good drainage, a requirement for this plant.
Sunsatia® Cranberry Red Nemesia Spacing
Plant 8 to 10 inches apart in the landscape. In a container, where this plant seems to do better, use one to three, depending on the size.
