Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia is the result of a German breakthrough. It attracts butterflies and bees. This plant is hot and cool tolerant. It grows both in mounds and trails, so it is great in a mixed container as a filler or in a hanging basket as the main attraction.
Sunsatia® Lemon Nemesia Care
Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia is best planted in a container or hanging basket. It hates wet feet, so unless it is planted in a raised bed or other area with exceptional drainage, it will rot. When planting Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia in the ground, place some compost or a slow-release fertilizer down to feed it throughout the season. Container plants need regular fertilization with a water-soluble fertilizer. This plant is self-cleaning, so no deadheading is necessary. Water Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia normally. If it dries out, the flowers will drop. Plant Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia in full sun to part shade. In a hot climate, they do better in part shade.
Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia is a perennial native to South Africa. While it will freeze outside the United States, the plant can be brought into the house to overwinter. This gives it a head start in the spring.
Sunsatia® Lemon Nemesia Spacing
Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia trails up to 18 inches. However, it only gets 6-10 inches tall. You will have to decide whether you want to use it as a filler or a spiller in the container the plant lives in. When considering that decision, it helps to know the spread is 12-16 inches and the plants should be planted 8-12 inches away from its nearest neighbor.
