The Sunshine Blue II Bluebeard is a more winter hardy version! It comes with all loved features you're expecting from its gold foliage and its blue blooms. This Bluebeard attracts pollinators and is tolerant of all climates. Adding to its charm, it is drought tolerant and easy to care for.
The Sunshine Blue II Bluebeard has a gorgeous yellow-gold foliage that makes a perfect pair with its blue blooms. Bloom season begins in the late summer and last through fall. It has a spread of 24”-36” inches and a height of 24”-36” inches. This updated version can be planted and thrive in colder climates. IT does well with mass planting in landscapes. Plant as a border plant, for ground cover, or as a border plant.
Sunshine Blue II Bluebeard Care
Plant this bluebeard in full sun and ensure it receives at minimum 6 hours of sun a day. Soil should be well drained and moist. It is adaptable to other soils with different PH levels. Fertilizer should be slow release and applied in the spring. The Sunshine Blue II Bluebeard has low water needs and is drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard in spring once new growth emerges. Late season planting is not recommended.
