Superbena Whiteout Verbena has big white flowers from spring to hard frost. They need a relatively long day to produce their best and do not grow well in small pots. Other than that, they are considered an easy plant to grow.
Superbena Whiteout Verbena is vigorous, heat tolerant, drought tolerant, and mildew tolerant. Deer do not like this plant, but it attracts lots of butterflies. It grows well as a ground cover, in a mixed container, or as a border plant. Superbena Whiteout Verbena also does well in the landscape or in mass plantings. Because of its mounding and trailing habit, it works well in mixed containers as a spiller.
Superbena® Whiteout Verbena Care
Superbena Whiteout Verbena grows in sun and part shade. When planting in the landscape, add some compost or slow-release fertilizer and the plant will bloom all season. In containers, water with water-soluble fertilizer frequently. Superbena Whiteout Verbena can tolerate dry soils and low soil fertility once established. They do not require deadheading as they are self-cleaning.
Superbena Whiteout Verbena is a perennial whose ancestors are native to the Americas and Asia. This Superbena Whiteout Verbena is hardy in zone 8a or hotter. Otherwise, it will freeze at the first hard frost.
Superbena® Whiteout Verbena Spacing
Superbena Whiteout Verbena will start out compact and then grow out to a 24-inch trailer. It is only 6-12 inches tall but spread out 18-30 inches, so needs lots of elbow room. Space it 10-14 inches, especially in mixed containers, where it can overwhelm less vigorous plants.
