This stunning clematis is covered with hundreds, maybe thousands of flowers from summer into fall. It produces lovely flowers that start raspberry red, change to purple and then mature to violet in color. All three colors will appear simultaneously giving the appearance that one plant is three plants. The flowers have an alluring cherry vanilla scent. Be sure to plant Sweet Summer Love Clematis Vine near windows in your home that you frequently open or adjacent to a porch, patio or deck where you spend time outdoors to be able to enjoy the lovely scent.

Clematis vines love to climb so grow this plant on a sturdy trellis, arbor, obelisk, mailbox post or fence. It can be grown in a container with a trellis but will need to be cut back if it outgrows the trellis. The four-petaled 2-inch flowers stand out against its dark green leaves. It can also be used as a groundcover under roses and shrubs.

    Almost dead...

Posted by Deanne Fortnam on Jul 27, 2023

The clematis vine was obviously recently dug and placed in a pot with loose potting soil. It arrived half out of the pot and with the box filled with potting soil. The clematis vine is about three inches tall. Very very small plant and completely wilted.

    Never...

Posted by Tracy A. Carlisle on Aug 05, 2022

They were so small and not filled out at all. They arrived upside down, with most of the dirt around the roots in the box, rather than the plant, which I would call a sprig! The plants are not thriving at all and they were very expensive. I wish I had just gone to the big box store and gotten something from them. I will not order again from this company

    Tiny Plants. Big Price.

Posted by Tara Stone on Apr 20, 2022

First time purchase, 4 different plants. Good news & bad news. The good news is that they were well packaged for shipment and appear to be healthy. The bad news is the plants were far smaller than I anticipated and I feel absolutely gouged by the $30 per plant price (4" container, actual plant size is very immature and will take a number of years to make an impact in my garden). The plant size does not justify the $30 price tag ($120 for 4 plants that look like starter plants that might cost around $7-$12 at a local nursery). My mistake for trusting that this small business was selling me a product that would equal the value of the price paid. I probably could have sourced these plants locally and come home with substantially larger plants for half the price. Life is busy and I thought I'd try buying plants online... never again. I make an effort to support small businesses, but I regret my purchase with this small business. I reached out to Plant Addicts to share my regrets and twice I received the exact canned response from two different ladies; I have a feeling they use that canned template often. I do not recommend Plant Addicts. I will never order from them again. Expensive mistake. Lesson learned.
