Lilium ‘Tiny Epic’, an Asiatic Lily, blooms from late spring through summer. It features bold, fragrant lilies with showy burgundy throats and mango-colored tips. Tiny Epic Lily has an upright, densely growing, dwarf habit. The colorful flowers make a striking display and attract plenty of butterflies and hummingbirds, particularly when planted in large groups.
Tiny Epic Lily reaches heights of 16 inches and spreads of 10-12 inches. This variety is low maintenance and exceptionally cold tolerant, with hardiness in zones 3-9. Beautiful when planted in groups in a garden border, it readily attracts butterflies and hummingbirds with its lovely fragrance. Use it as colorful edging along a walkway, grow it in a container, and snip a few stems for striking cut-flower arrangements.
Tiny Epic Asiatic Lily Care
Plant Tiny Epic Lily in full to partial sun, where it will receive at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. The more sun, the better flower production. Select an area in your landscape that has well-draining, moist soil. Amend lean or clay soil with plenty of organic matter such as garden compost to increase soil fertility and improve soil texture.
Its compact stature makes Tiny Epic Lily an excellent choice for growing in containers. Select a container that has at least a 12-inch opening and plenty of drainage holes. Tiny Epic Lily can be fertilized in spring with a well-balanced, water-soluble fertilizer to promote foliar and bud growth.
Tiny Epic Asiatic Lily Spacing
Versatile and attractive, Tiny Epic Lily provides color, fragrance, texture, and form, and can be used in so many ways. Try this lily in borders and rock gardens, along a pathway, and in containers as a focal point. Space Tiny Epic Lily with 12 inches between each plant to allow for its mature width.
