Nothing says summer like a swath of gorgeous lilies in bloom! Tiny Parrot Lily is a beautiful summertime Asiatic Lily in a tiny package. This compact dwarf variety will be absolutely covered with large, gorgeous flowers in eye-catching gold for a beautiful summertime display. Their upward-facing gold flowers are delightfully contrasted with deep burgundy speckles alongside dark green and glossy, spiked foliage. The bright flowers beckon to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Tiny Parrot Lily was bred for containers but it is also very versatile in the garden. Tiny Parrot Lily is great for borders, rock gardens, and mass plantings. Hardy from zone 2 - 9, this lily has a high bud count and long-lasting flowers. Their flowers have no fragrance and make excellent cut flowers!

Tiny Parrot Lily Care

Tiny Parrot Lily grows well in full sun to partial shade. The plant is tolerant of various soil types from normal, to sandy, and clay soil. Additionally, Tiny Parrot Lily is also tolerant of various pH levels and will do well wherever it is planted. This petite bloomer has average water needs but will not tolerate a very wet site. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Tiny Parrot Lily will benefit from regular feedings. For more beautiful and eye-catching blooms, use a 5-10-10 NPK fertilizer or formula for bulbs when buds begin to appear. Fertilizer can be applied up to every six weeks during the growing season.

Unfortunately, deadheading will not encourage new blooms during the blooming season for asiatic lilies. After blooming, flowers will fade and foliage will die back. Remove spent flower stalks but leave the foliage in place to send more energy to the bulb for the next season. At the end of the season, Tiny Parrot Lily will require no additional winter care and will emerge the following spring. When growing Tiny Parrot Lily in a container, choose a well-draining pot and a quality potting mix. Water containers thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, and clean up the spent foliage at the end of the season.

Tiny Parrot Lily Spacing

Tiny Parrot Lily will reach 12 - 14 inches in height with a spread of 10-12 inches. Space plants about 12 inches apart.
