Tokyo Sun Sedum Tokyo Sun Sedum is a ground cover succulent that has a pop of bright yellow color! The drought tolerant & heat tolerant sedum only grows to about 3 inches tall, but it spreads and mounds very fast. The plant can also handle over a month with no water once established. During summer, the succulent produces golden star shaped flowers, which add even more color. The flowers can even attract pollinators.
Growing Tokyo Sun Sedum
These are only hardy in growing zones 9 to 11. However, you may grow indoors during cooler months as long as the plant gets at least 5 hours of direct sunlight. If the plant does not get enough direct sunlight, you will be able to tell right away as the bright lime yellow color will fade dramatically. Otherwise, the plant is evergreen and stays colorful all year. Ensure the soil is well drained.
