- Premium Compost + Lime Blend
- 20-Quart Garden Conditioner
- Lightweight Bed Refresher
- Built For Tomatoes
Tomato & Veggies Organic Planting Soil is a simple way to freshen vegetable beds when your native soil needs more organic matter and better structure. This 20-quart Coast of Maine blend is made to be used as a soil conditioner, with a lightweight texture that’s easy to spread and work in. It’s built around compost with peat moss and aged bark, and it includes lobster and lime to support strong tomato growth, especially in beds that have been planted for several seasons. We recommend it for spring prep and mid-season touch-ups when tomatoes and peppers start demanding more from the soil.
Use this blend to loosen compacted spots, improve moisture handling, and create a cleaner planting zone that’s easier to keep weeded. It also works well mixed into a planting hole with existing soil to help new roots transition outward instead of staying trapped in a “perfect pocket.” Keep feeding on schedule as plants size up, but this mix gives you a better base to start from.

Product Tips
- For overworked or compacted beds, work a 2-inch layer into the top 4–6 inches of soil before planting.
- For already-loose beds, top-dress a 2-inch layer and seed or transplant directly into it.
- In planting holes, backfill with a 50/50 blend of this mix and native soil, then water to settle.
- Don’t pack the soil tight around transplants; let watering do the settling and top off if needed.
- Reapply yearly, and again mid-season if beds are producing heavily.
