Growing Zones
Chartreuse stems hold up striking dark blue leaves that are painted with a green splash up the center of this textured leafy beauty. This slow-growing perennial creates a medium-sized clump, perfect for adding interest to a shady bed. A hardy perennial in zones 3-9, Touch of Class Hosta is an easy care plant and adaptable to many gardens.
Use this hosta as a mounded filler in container plantings for shady areas of the garden. This versatile plant is a heavy hitter in your landscape, use in borders, as a mass planting, or as a specimen/focal point plant. The heavy foliage helps with slug resistance. Touch of Class attracts hummingbirds with it’s midsummer spikes of lavender-purple flowers.
Touch of Class Hosta Care
Plant Touch of Class in part to full shade for best performance. Adding compost to your beds when planting is beneficial as hostas like moist organic soils. If you have a bed with slightly acidic soils, these plants will do well.
In early spring or after a few frosts have killed the foliage in the fall, is a great time to clean up the dead leaves on the plant. Remove the flower stalks after they have finished blooming to keep the plant tidy.
Touch of Class Hosta Spacing
Touch of Class Hosta reaches a height of 16 inches tall and has a spread of 24 inches. For best results space plants 24 inches apart when planting in beds.
