Large perfumed florets in shades of rose pink and fuchsia are what make Altman Plants’ True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose so special. The blooms mirror lush double-form peonies and are offset by lustrous imperial green foliage. A selection from the True Bloom series, this easy-to-grow cultivar is a great choice for adding dimension and color to landscapes, decks, patios, and porches. Flowering from spring until autumn, this hybrid tea shrub, also known as Rosa hybrida True Inspiration PP31,791, supports the environment by attracting pollinators including bees. With its superb resistance to disease, you could not ask for a better rose to please you throughout the year.
Growing to 4 to 6 feet high and 3 to 5 feet wide, this deciduous selection grows upright and vigorously. Cultivated in the United States from genetic strains that originated in the Northern Hemisphere, this particular hybrid tea rose has exceptional resistance to disease and requires minimal care. Its pretty pink, peony-like blooms emanate a perfume with “peppery” notes and make lovely bouquets worthy of a vase in the finest of homes.
True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose Care
A typical sun lover, True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose will thrive if provided 6 to 8 hours of full sun. An eastern location will make this rose even happier. Plant it in a hole large enough to fit its root ball. The soil should drain well and be moist and rich with a slightly acidic pH. If the soil does not drain well or lacks nutrients, mix in some well-rotted manure or compost. Water this rose with one to two inches of water per week when the top one to two inches of soil are dry. Upon blooming, apply a fertilizer specific for roses once or twice a month until the flowering season ends.
True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose, a repeat bloomer, flowers on new wood. In late winter, remove any damaged, dead, diseased, and crossing stems. Then, cut back the remaining stems by about a half to a third. Apply a layer of compost around the root zone to overwinter.
True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose Spacing
Space True Inspiration Hybrid Tea Rose shrubs 3 to 4 feet apart. Plant this hybrid tea rose in hedges, garden beds, borders, and containers. To create an attractive vignette, plant perennials with complementary textures such as astilbe, columbine, foxglove, hyssop, and snapdragons around the rose. Create delightful bouquets by combining cut rose stems with baby’s breath, eucalyptus, statice, daisies, and green hydrangea.
