The Volcano® White Garden Phlox is a prolific bloomer that will be covered with clusters of lovely white flowers throughout the summer. Tiny buds open into cone-shaped flowers with a narrow base while the upper portion opens wide, creating a full effect. Flowers continue to bloom from early summer through fall. Green foliage peeks out in the spaces between the striking blooms.

Plant Phlox in beds, borders, or containers. The white blooms offer a nice contrast against other blooming plants and have a sweet fragrance. The Volcano® White Garden Phlox is a clump-forming plant with a branched, upright growth habit, giving it a mounded appearance. This cultivar is mildew-resistant for added peace of mind. Grow this plant as a perennial in USDA zones 4 through 8.

Volcano® White Garden Phlox Care

Phlox needs 4 to 6 hours of sunlight and rich, moist, well-drained soil. Water when the top few inches of soil dries out, and be ready to water container-grown plants more often since the soil will dry more quickly. Water the ground around the plant when possible and keep the foliage dry just to err on the side of caution, even though this variety is not prone to mildew. Feed this Phlox with a balanced fertilizer each spring.

Keep the plant full and bushy by trimming back growth in late spring or early summer. Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Divide the Volcano® White Garden Phlox every few years as needed.

Volcano® White Garden Phlox Spacing

This cultivar is an upright, mounded plant that will grow 18 to 24 inches tall and 15 to 18 inches wide. Phlox can be spaced 15 to 18 inches apart.
