Cherry-red petals boldly striped with yellow make Winning Streak™ Floribunda Rose impossible to overlook in bloom. Rosa ‘Meiwentar’ grows into a tight, rounded shrub just 1–2 feet tall and wide, yet it flowers in energetic clusters from late spring well into fall. Each 2–3 inch bloom opens from a yellow bud brushed with pink, then shifts toward hot fuchsia as it ages. The scent is light and fresh as you lean in for a whiff.

This compact floribunda was bred by Alain Meilland and introduced for gardeners who want strong color without a large shrub. Dark green foliage stays dense to the ground, giving it a finished look even between flushes. It fits neatly along walkways, in front-of-border plantings, or grouped as a low hedge. Because of its manageable size and vigor, it’s equally at home in a decorative patio pot.

Winning Streak™ Floribunda Rose Care

Plant in full sun for the brightest striping and strongest repeat bloom. Choose a site with freely draining garden soil and enrich the planting area with compost before setting the root ball at the same depth it grew in the nursery container. Water thoroughly after planting, then provide consistent moisture during the growing season, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between soakings. Apply a rose fertilizer in early spring and continue at regular intervals through midsummer to sustain flowering.

In late winter or very early spring, reduce canes to 10–18 inches and remove any dead or weak growth. Throughout the season, clip off faded blooms to encourage fresh clusters. In windy or exposed sites, a light mulch helps protect roots and reduce evaporation. In colder areas, add winter mulch after hard frost and remove it gradually in spring.

Winning Streak™ Floribunda Rose Spacing

Space plants about 2 feet apart for a dense, colorful edge. In containers, use a pot at least 14–16 inches wide with good drainage to support its compact root system. Pair it with low blue salvia for contrast, tuck in golden sedum to echo the yellow striping, or set it near dwarf boxwood for a structured frame that lets the blooms take center stage.
