WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry (Berberis WorryFree 'Lemon Glow') is a low-maintenance evergreen with a very unique color. This plant is grown for many reasons, but the most outstanding is the neon-yellow-colored foliage. WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry will reach 18 to 30 inches tall, and has a spread of 24 to 48 inches. This barberry is grown in USDA zones 4-9 and has a mounding growth habit.

Being easy to care for is another main feature of WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry. This plant is tough–it’s exceptionally disease and pest resistant. WorryFree® Lemon Glow® is cold and salt tolerant making it perfect for planting next to driveways or sidewalks. Additionally, this plant has low water usage after being established and doesn’t self-seed.

WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry Care

The highly adaptable WorryFree® Lemon Glow® prefers to be grown in any well-draining soil. Plant it in a location that receives plenty of sunlight, at least 4-6 hours daily. Bright light will encourage brighter foliage coloration. Water regularly until established, and then only water when the top 3 inches of soil are dry. WorryFree® Lemon Glow® prefers the soil to be slightly dry rather than wet. Fertilize WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry in the early spring or late winter.

Prune in the late spring, if desired, to keep your preferred shape. However, WorryFree® Lemon Glow® has a nice compact form that doesn’t require formal pruning.

WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry Spacing

For best growth results, space WorryFree® Lemon Glow® plants 3-4 feet apart. This barberry is ideal for borders and short hedges.
