Younique Pink™ Astilbe, Astilbe Younique Pink ‘Verspink’, or False Spirea, is a striking perennial that blooms in early to midsummer with frothy, feathery plumes of pink double flowers carried on slender, wiry stems. The foliage of this bold Astilbe is dark green and has a soft, finely textured appeal. It grows from 12 to 16 inches high with a spread of 14 to 18 inches. Younique Pink™ Astilbe is beautifully fragrant, wonderfully floriferous, and its flowers pack a showy punch in a compact space.
Younique Pink™ Astilbe has a fast-growing, compact, rounded habit. It is deer and rabbit resistant and makes an excellent cut flower and foliage option for arrangements and bouquets in need of soft, unique texture and bold color. It is an excellent, low-maintenance option for containers and pots and is much more heat tolerant than other varieties of Astilbe. You can grow astilbe in gardens, containers, or pots.
Younique Pink™ Astilbe Care
The ideal planting conditions for the Younique Pink™ Astilbe are full to partial sun in cooler climates. They require regular watering and need moist soil with ample organic matter. You should plant your astilbe in early spring or late fall. Deadhead faded flowers after they have bloomed to encourage improved growth in the upcoming season. The clumps of your astilbe will spread quickly and will need to be divided every 3 to 4 years to manage size and spread.
Younique Pink™ Astilbe Spacing
Your Younique Pink™ Astilbe is a fantastic option for growing in containers as a “thriller,” or in a mixed perennial bed. It grows well in containers and pairs well with heucheras, hellebores, and other shade-loving perennials. It should be space 18 to 24 inches apart at planting.
