The Bellissima™ Rose English Daisy, also known as Bellis Perennis Bellissima ‘Rose’, has small, adorable pink pom poms that make it the cheerleader your garden needs. This eye-catching perennial has oval-shaped green leaves that are highly glossy. Its fluffy flowers feature a bright yellow center surrounded by soft white shades that bloom during early springtime and make excellent cut flowers. Upon full maturity, your plant will reach a height of no more than 6 to 10 inches and a spread of 6 to 8 inches, making it fairly compact. This plant generally takes root the first year and blooms the second. It is likely to attract both butterflies and bees to your garden.
This herbaceous biennial grows at a fast rate and is deer resistant and drought tolerant. However, during higher temperatures in the summer, there are some pests you may need to watch out for. Both thrips and leaf miners are likely to appear and harm your plant. Leaf miners are miniscule in size and feed beneath the surface of the leaves, which leads to the loss of healthy leaf tissue. This will hinder your perennial’s ability to take in the sunlight it needs and may become infected with diseases as a result. You can plant these perennials in containers, borders, window boxes, woodland gardens, and mass plantings.
Bellissima™ Rose English Daisy Plant Care
The Bellissima™ Rose English Daisy will grow best when in full sun or partial shade, getting at least 6 hours of daily sunlight. You can use average or moist well-drained soil that is normal or consists of sand or clay. This plant prefers acidic soil. You should water it on a regular basis and you can use fertilizer once per month to keep it in optimal condition.
Pruning is not necessary for this perennial. You can, however, get rid of faded flowers on a regular basis as doing so will help keep the plant blooming well into the summertime.
Bellissima™ Rose English Daisy Plant Spacing
When planting your Bellissima™ Rose English Daisy, allow at least 6 to 8 inches of space in between each plant.
