Clematis 'Tranquilite' is hardy in planting zones 4 to 9.
Plant this perennial clematis in a full sun or partially shady location. Plant it in the ground or a container. This plant likes to climb. Plant it near a trellis, call, or fence to give it something to attach to and grow upward. It takes on the thriller role in container gardens. It’s rabbit and deer resistance. Hummingbirds enjoy visiting its pretty pale purple flowers. Harvest the blossoms to add to bouquets.
Boulevard Tranquilite Clematis Care
This clematis has average watering needs. This plant is a heavy feeder. Add a balanced fertilizer in the spring and continue fertilizing throughout the growing season as directed on the package. Boulevard Tranquilite Clematis will produce early blooms on old growth, but the majority of the blossoms appear on new growth.
This clematis is in pruning group 3, which means it blooms on new wood (growth) each year. Prune the main stems back to 3 feet above the ground in February or March. Leave at least one pair of strong-looking buds on each stem. Remove any dead, broken, or weak stems too. Deadheading is not required. Remove faded blooms to create a tidier appearance.
Boulevard Tranquilite Clematis Spacing
