Cebu Blue Pothos is a rare, trendy houseplant with silver-blue, narrow leaves. This plant is botanically known as Epipremnum pinnatum, and goes by the common names Devil’s Ivy, Dragon-Tail, Blue Philodendron, and Centipede Tongavine. This easy-to-care-for houseplant is a fast-growing vine, native to the Island of Cebu in the Philippines.

Best Locations For Growing Cebu Blue Pothos

Bright locations with indirect light are best for growing Cebu Blue Pothos in the home or office. Cebu Blue Pothos is a fast grower when given the right growing conditions. Give this vining plant a trellis or moss pole and adequate space to grow. Keep Cebu Blue out of reach of pets and humans since it is considered toxic.

Cebu Blue Pothos Sunlight Requirements

Cebu Blue Pothos prefers bright indirect light. It will not tolerate direct sun or low light conditions, which will burn or stunt the foliage growth. Cebu Blue does well in northern- or eastern-facing windows. Outdoors, this Pothos will require a shaded location without direct sun.

Cebu Blue Pothos Care

Young leaves of Cebu Blue Pothos are thin and silverish blue; mature leaves are larger and greenish with zig-zag fenestrations. Cebu Blue is a fast grower but it can take many years to mature. This plant likes to trail or vine and can be trained to climb up a trellis. Repot every 1 or 2 years. Cebu Blue Pothos does not need to be pruned but can be trimmed to maintain a bushier habit. Dead leaves can be removed to encourage new growth.

Watering Cebu Blue

Cebu Blue Pothos likes a regular watering schedule, and should be watered about once a week. Water thoroughly, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Do not over- or under-water this Pothos, Cebu Blue prefers moderate humidity levels from 40-60%.

Feeding Cebu Blue

Cebu Blue Pothos responds well to fertilizer.  Feed with a balanced houseplant fertilizer once a month.
