The Chick Charms® Cotton Candy Hens & Chicks are a very unique looking succulent. The leaves are green with some burgundy on the outer edge. But the most distinctive trait of these are the white cobweb looking centers. However, the white centers do not have anything to do with spiders. It is actually grown as protection against drought to trap more moisture. But that shouldn’t stop you from teasing your guests when they ask about the spiderweb looking plants!
We particularly like growing these types of hens and chicks next to dark red colored plants, to provide a big contrast with the white centers. These also look great in garden planters next to other dark foliage plants.
