Chick Charms® Giant Pink Sapphire Hens and Chicks Care
The Chick Charms® Giant Pink Sapphire Hens and Chicks is adaptable and grows well in full sun to partial shade. It does however require excellent drainage, thriving in gritty or rocky soil. Being drought tolerant, watering is only required when the soil is dry. Hens and chicks are light feeders and do not require fertilizing. Nevertheless, a very diluted general-purpose fertilizer can be applied sparingly during the growing season if desired.
Once the hen flowers, it will die back and can be removed. Any flowering stems can be pruned away after they have faded. As chicks appear, they can be repotted to form new plants.
Chick Charms® Giant Pink Sapphire Hens and Chicks Spacing
Over time, the Chick Charms® Giant Pink Sapphire Hens and Chicks can reach 3 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches across. Allow multiple plants a spacing of 10 to 12 inches.
