How To Apply

For Potting Soil

• To improve heavy soil: mix equal parts soil and Espoma Peat Moss.
• For custom potting media: combine two parts Espoma Peat Moss with one part Espoma Compost and one part Espoma Perlite or Vermiculite.

For Seed Starting

1. Fill a shallow container with Espoma Peat Moss or a mix of 80% Peat Moss and 20% Perlite or Vermiculite.
2. Use peat pots or seed starting trays with drainage holes.
3. Moisten the mix and let it drain.
4. Plant seeds as per package instructions and place in a warm, bright location (avoid direct sunlight).
5. Keep soil moist by misting. Transplant seedlings with care when they develop their first leaves.

For Root Cuttings

1. Fill a clean container with Espoma Peat Moss or an 80% Peat Moss and 20% Perlite or Vermiculite mix, and moisten.
2. Make a hole, insert the cutting gently, and pat the soil.
3. Keep moist and out of direct sunlight until roots form, then transplant.

For Bulb Storage

• Surround bulbs with dry Espoma Peat Moss.
• Do not water or compact.
