Espoma Organic Soil Acidifier, made with elemental sulfur and gypsum, effectively lowers soil pH and enhances hydrangea color. Safer and longer-lasting than alternatives like aluminum sulfate, this amendment is free from sludges and fillers. We produce it in a specialized solar-powered facility to ensure top quality. Ideal for hydrangeas, blueberries, and other berry plants, our acidifier is approved for organic gardening and safe for people, pets, and the planet.

Note: Arborvitae and Boxwood do not require acidic soils.

When To Use

Use in spring and every 60 days until the desired pH is reached.

How Much To Use

Hydrangeas & Blueberries

• New Plants: 1-1/4 cups per plant.
• Established Plants: 2-1/2 cups per plant.

Apply evenly around the plant to the drip line, water well, and repeat every 60 days until desired pH or bloom color is achieved.

Potted Plants
1 tablespoon per 4˝ of pot diameter.

Broadcast Rate

• Apply 12 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. for each 1-point pH reduction desired.
• For heavy clay soils, increase rate to 15 lb.

Gradual pH reduction is recommended to avoid plant stress.

As a Fertilizer 
Use 1/2 cup per 100 sq. ft. (1 tablespoon per plant) around the root zone.

Note: Safer than Aluminum Sulfate, which can be toxic with prolonged use.

How To Apply

Use gardening gloves when applying. Distribute evenly around the plant up to the drip line and water thoroughly. Reapply every 60 days until desired pH or bloom color is reached.
