Dracaena Limelight is perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or offices, where its bold, lime-green foliage brightens interiors. It grows in medium to bright indirect light, making it flexible for various placements, including east- or west-facing windows. However, it’s toxic to pets and should be kept out of their reach.

Limelight Dracaena Sunlight Requirements

This plant prefers medium to bright indirect light, where its bright lime-green leaves can grow without fading. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may scorch the leaves. It can tolerate lower light levels but may grow more slowly in such conditions. Place near east-facing windows for morning sun or slightly farther from west-facing windows for softer afternoon light.

Limelight Dracaena Care

Lime Light is a slow-growing and low-maintenance plant.Use well-draining, loamy soil and a container with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Repot every 2–3 years to refresh the soil and allow room for growth. Dead or browning leaves can be removed by cutting at the base with a pair of sanitized and sharp scissors. Preferring high humidity levels, the Lime Light Dracaena benefits from regular misting. Wipe its foliage regularly with a damp cloth to remove any dust. 

Watering Limelight Dracaena

Water the plant when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering frequency as the plant’s growth slows. Overwatering can lead to yellowing leaves or soft stems, while under-watering causes drooping. Using harvested rainwater is advisable to help prevent the leaf tips from turning brown. 

Feeding Limelight Dracaena

Fertilize monthly during spring and summer using a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength. Feeding encourages healthy growth and bright foliage. Avoid fertilizing in winter when the plant enters a dormant phase.
