With its cascading foliage and fast growth, the Neon Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) retains the low-maintenance benefits of a Pothos with the added benefit of stunning foliage. This vining plant has heart-shaped leaves in a shocking chartreuse color, making it pop both alone and when grouped with other plants. Thriving in average household temperatures and humidity and able to tolerate medium to bright light, this Pothos variety is a must-have.

Best Locations For Growing Neon Pothos

Like other Pothos, the Neon Pothos is fast growing, benefitting the most from bright indirect light but also growing just fine in the interior of a bright room. Place this plant on a bookshelf for a pop of color, hang it from a bedroom corner, or let it trail across a kitchen counter. The Neon Pothos is often added into planters, bringing color and depth to a plant grouping. Pothos are toxic plants, so care should be taken to keep them out of reach of children and pets.

Neon Pothos Sunlight Requirements

Neon Pothos will grow and retain its color best in bright indirect light, though it is able to grow in medium light as well. Place this plant in an east- or north-facing window for all-day bright light. Neon Pothos will also do well within a bright room with west- and south-facing windows. It is best to avoid direct afternoon light as it can easily scorch the tender leaves.

Neon Pothos Care

Pothos are generally low-maintenance plants when given plenty of indirect light and regular watering. These plants can remain in the same pot for at least two years at a time, not being particularly sensitive to being in small or large pots. When repotting, choose a pot with drainage holes that is an inch or two larger than the root ball. Pothos grows well in well-draining potting soil that retains a bit of moisture.

Watering Neon Pothos

Pothos are forgiving plants when it comes to watering, bouncing back from underwatering pretty quickly and not totally failing if they are overwatered occasionally. Allow the top inch or two to dry out before watering deeply, until water comes out the bottom of the pot. When a Pothos is drying out, its lowest leaves will start to droop, indicating that it is ready for water.

Feeding Neon Pothos

Pothos will benefit from regular watering in the spring and summer months. Add a liquid houseplant fertilizer into your watering routine once or twice a month, following dilution recommendations to avoid damaging the roots and leaves. Fertilizing can end in the winter when plants are growing less.

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.
