Feature
Pothos are easy to grow and have spectacularly long vines. Place this adaptable plant on a high shelf and let the vines cascade down, or trim the vines to maintain a compact, bushy look and feature this stunner on a side table or desktop. The Snow Queen Pothos, also known as Marble Queen or Epipremnum aureum, has bold, variegated foliage that gives the plant dimension. The heart-shaped green leaves have swirls and splotches of white. The amount of light the plant receives determines the level of variegation.
Best Locations For Growing Snow Queen Pothos
The best place for a Snow Queen Pothos is a highly visible area where you can admire the variegated leaves. Marble Queen Pothos can live in most areas of the home. This plant is adaptable in terms of light, humidity, and even water, to a degree.
Snow Queen Pothos Sunlight Requirements
Expect more vigorous growth when the Snow Queen Pothos receives bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can be damaging. Pothos can grow in medium light, but the plant may not push out new leaves as often.
Snow Queen Pothos Care
Repot Pothos every 12 to 18 months. Select a pot 1 to 2 inches larger and use a well-drained potting mix. Hold off feeding the plant for several months if the soil is amended with a slow-release fertilizer.
Watering Snow Queen Pothos
Feel the soil and water Snow Queen Pothos when the top few inches of soil are dry. Saturate the potting mix and let the excess water drain through the pot. Pothos has medium water needs, but this plant is fine if you are a few days late with watering.
Feeding Snow Queen Pothos
Fertilizing Snow Queen Pothos will help the vines of this plant extend and grow lush and full. Use a balanced, water-soluble plant food monthly during the spring and summer when the plant is growing. Feeding Pothos during the winter isn't necessary if the plant is not growing.
