The blue-green leaves and multi-colored spines of the Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy make this succulent a real winner. Known botanically as Mangave hybrid 'Tooth Fairy', this succulent is fast growing and will form a single rosette of around 1 foot tall. It is perfect for growing as a perennial in southern areas or overwintering as a houseplant.
Being both drought and heat tolerant, the Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy is easy to grow in the right conditions. Happy either in a container or when planted in the ground, its spiny leaves will certainly create a focal point. Growing slightly wider than it does high, the Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy is a North American native and winter hardy in zones 9 to 11.
Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy Mangave Care
Full sun is favorable for the Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy to thrive and produce the best foliage colors. More tolerant of overwatering than other succulents, you can even speed up its growth by irrigating more frequently. Plant it in a free-draining soil, and fertilize it at half the label strength during the summer months. Pruning is not required; however, if any leaves wilt or turn brown, you can remove them at the base.
The Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy can be grown as a perennial in zones 9 to 11. In other zones, you can grow it as an annual or bring it indoors to overwinter.
Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy Mangave Spacing
Over time, the Art & Sol™ Tooth Fairy can grow to 10 to 12 inches tall and 16 to 18 inches wide. Multiple plants can be spaced 16 to 18 inches apart. For container growing, choose a pot that is slightly wider than the rosette's current size.
