Brandywine Viburnum is one of those must have plants with multi-colored jewel like berries, glossy leaves and deep, dark, red fall color! Because the leaves are glossy, they seem to shine in the sunlight.

Deer resistant, salt tolerant, seasonal interest and easy to care for makes it the perfect plant for the homeowner! Because the berries are desirable to birds and the flowers to pollinators, this is the ideal shrub for your garden to become a certified wildlife habitat!

Brandywine Viburnum Care

Growing to just 6 feet, the upright shrub provides a background for all of your other plants. It blooms on old wood, (the growth from the year before) so no need for pruning unless for a broken or crossed branch. Viburnums require average watering once established, full sun/part sun Most viburnums are native to North America so you can be comfortable knowing that you are not planting an invasive species.

Brandywine Viburnum Spacing

This is a great plant for creating a hedge on your property so plant them 6-7 ft. on center or just use it as an outstanding focal point in the landscape.

    Great service healthy...

Posted by Dencil Backus on Jun 21, 2021

Only a couple of days after placing the order I received notice that the Brandywine Virburnun had shipped. We unpacked it when it arrived and found it to be in perfect shape with lots of lovely bright green foliage. Cannot wait to watch it grow and produce those lovely berries for which it is noted.

    Brandywine Viburnum

Posted by JR on Sep 03, 2020

Beautiful shrub with a few caveats (at least in my garden!) Gorgeous summer and fall foliage in glossy lush greens and deep reds. Berry set is awesome, though I have a wide variety of other viburnum and winterberry species on property. Dual colored berries shifting from pink to dark blue are very cool, and are a favorite of the cardinals and mockingbirds in our yard. Only downsides are that they are leggy and can droop under a heavy berry set, and they do get big- mine are averaging from a branching 6’ on the small side to a sprawling 9’ at the upper und. I was hoping to use them to screen the crawl space under a deck and keep them mostly below the open railings- instead they have grown the expected height plus the height of the railing (and more) obscuring the view from the deck. In short, they may not be short! Definitely recommended!

I bought this brandywine viburnum when I saw this on pinterest researching unique native plants. The berries are so cool, plus it says this plant is easy to care for since its native. can't go wrong with that!

Bought these for my home in Texas. I'm underwhelmed by the size. The berries are cool though. Just wish the plants were larger.
