Dolce 'Appletini' Coral Bells is a lovely low-growing plant for shady spots or for any garden location where you want to maintain winter color. Imagine an entire border or grouping of this colorful and easy-care plant in a partly shady area of your landscape. Since it's a low grower of only 8 to 10 inches for the foliage, you can add Dolce 'Appletini' to containers as a bright and evergreen filler. Deer tend to ignore heuchera plants, but the flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
Dolce Appletini Coral Bells Care
Place Dolce 'Appletini' Coral Bells in average or fertile soil that has good drainage. The heuchera grows well in the cold of zone 4 and up to zone 9 summer heat. Too much hot sun might scorch the leaves, so be sure to give your plant afternoon shade in hotter regions. All you have to do after planting is water your heuchera regularly and trim off any faded or damaged leaves in early spring. Mulch around the plants in spring to retain moisture and help with winter health.
Dolce Appletini Coral Bells Spacing
For a shady border, place your Dolce 'Appletini' Coral Bells 24 to 30 inches apart from center to center to account for their nearly 30-inch spread. Feel free to cut the ruby red flower stems for summer arrangements.
