Early Bird White Crape Myrtle - Lagerstroemia hybrid 'JD900' PP22698 – is a shrub that is long-blooming and beautiful. In the late spring (often earlier than most other crape myrtles) this shrub is covered in delicate white flowers that continue blooming through the fall. Glossy green leaves turn an attractive yellow in the autumn, and the graceful stems provide structure in the winter. Deer resistant and relatively pest resistant, this shrub is excellent as a specimen plant or as a part of a hedge.
Early Bird White Crape Myrtle Care
Prune your Early Bird White Crape Myrtle following the bloom season. Plant in well-drained soil and water until established. For best flowering, consider a slow- release fertilizer in the spring.
Early Bird White Crape Myrtle Spacing
For a graceful hedge, plant Early Bird White Crape Myrtle between 3 and 4 feet on center. For a foundational planting, space the shrubs at least 5 feet center-to- center.
