Yarrows make a wonderful perennial addition to any garden, and Firefly™ Sunshine Yarrow might very well be the cheeriest long-lasting yarrows on the market. The plant is covered with small clusters of flat-topped incredibly saturated yellow flowers inviting all the local pollinators to feast on its beauty. Firefly™ Sunshine Yarrow’s frilly foliage will be one of the first to emerge in the early spring and one of the last to take its winter rest giving you a long season of cheerful flowers.
Easy-to-grow and low maintenance, Firefly™ Sunshine Yarrow has an upright habit even when covered with flowers. The plant is attractive to pollinators while being resistant to deer and rabbits! This plant lends well to any garden border or as mass plantings. The upright flowers make great fresh or dried cut flowers.
Firefly Sunshine Yarrow Care
Plant Firefly™ Sunshine Yarrow (Achillea hybrid) in a full sun location with average to poor soil fertility, the plant prefers acidic to neutral soil pH. Choose a location with well-drained soil. Water well after planting then once established the plant requires average water needs. The plant is hardy from zone 3 to 8.
Trim back spent blooms by about half after flowering; this will encourage a re-flush of new growth and flowers. Flowering will continue until frost. Prune back spent blooms in late fall, foliage can be left as winter habitat for pollinators. Firefly™ Sunshine Yarrow frilly foliage we emerge in early spring.
Firefly Sunshine Yarrow Spacing
