You’ll know spring has sprung when the FrostKiss™ Cheryl's Shine Hellebore blooms. This plant blooms later than other Hellebore varieties, but expect flowers in the spring. Cheryl’s Shine features showy, pastel-pink flowers with dark pink near the edges. The cup-shaped blooms look delicate but are tough and long lasting.
The evergreen foliage features white variegation, creating a marbling look for added dimension. This attractive foliage will stay in place year-round and will beautify any shady corner. Feature this beauty in perennial beds, borders and foundation plantings. This plant is both deer and rabbit resistant. Grow the FrostKiss™ Cheryl's Shine Hellebore as a perennial in zones 5 through 8.
FrostKiss™ Cheryl's Shine Hellebore Care
This plant thrives in full to partial shade, so choose a spot that receives up to 4 hours of direct sunlight. Plant Cheryl’s Shine in soil that is rich, moist, and neutral to slightly alkaline. Established plants are drought tolerant, but water during a dry period. Feed the plant with a balanced fertilizer in the spring.
Trim the greenery in early winter to maintain its shape and expose the showy blooms. Propagate Hellebores in the fall by dividing the plant.
FrostKiss™ Cheryl's Shine Hellebore Spacing
This hellebore thrives in full to partial shade and has an upright, bushy growth habit that spreads with time. Plants reach 18 to 24 inches tall and 26 to 30 inches wide and should be spaced at least 26 inches apart, center on center.
