The low, spreading form of the Kaleidoscope™ Dancing Embers Hardy Ice Plant makes this beauty an excellent ground cover. Grow Ice Plants near the front of a mixed bed or in a rock garden. Ice Plants are succulents, so they are drought tolerant and do well with minimal care. Bees enjoy the flowers, allowing this plant to support pollinators, but foragers like deer leave the thick, fleshy foliage alone.

Grow the Kaleidoscope™ Dancing Embers Hardy Ice Plant in full sun. Water during an extended dry period, but avoid overwatering because Ice Plants have low water needs. Plant this succulent in a sandy, fast-draining soil with low nutrient levels; overly fertile soil may cause leggy growth. The soil pH should be neutral to acidic.
Remove overgrowth and spent blooms around midsummer. A rejuvenating trim will give the plant a tidy appearance and encourage new, bushy growth.
