The Kanjiro Camellia produces beautiful cool season blooms. They will make the perfect addition to your colorful fall bouquet. It has a light fragrance. The Kanjiro Camellia can be used in various ways and has a unique habit that pairs well in any landscape.
The foliage is a dark green and it is dense. It grows in a partial weeping habit. Donned with bright pink blooms from fall to early winter, when the weather is cool. The Kanjiro Camellia reaches a height and spread of eight to ten feet tall. It makes for a fantastic backdrop or foundation plant. It does well when mass planted, used for privacy planting, border planting, add to your cutting garden or use as a focal point.
Kanjiro Camellia Care
The Kanjiro Camellia should be planted in part sun where there is plenty of filtered sun. Organically rich soil that is well drained is necessary. pH level should be acidic to ensure the plants health. Roots should be kept cool with a layer of mulch. In the first growing season be sure to water regularly. Once established, water needs are average for the Kanjiro Camellia. Prune to shape only in the winter. Feed with an acid fertilizer after the flowering season has come to an end.
