The Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum is a hardy plant known for fleshy, green foliage and tiny, white flowers that bloom from May into June. The white flowers provide a nice contrast against the dark-green foliage. The broad leaves have a gentle, rounded point. This beauty has a dense form and creates a full and lush planting.
Sedum makes a wonderful groundcover and can also be used to brighten up a shady corner of a yard. This is a native plant that supports bees and some species of butterflies. Sedum is easy to grow; once this plant is acclimated, it requires very little care. Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum is a perennial in USDA zones 3 through 8.
Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum Care
Plant Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum in partial sun or shade. This plant can handle some bright sun in the morning, but the ideal spot will have afternoon shade. New plants need consistent water, but established plants do not generally need water except during a dry period. The loil should be loamy or sandy and have good drainage. Sedum is not a heavy feeder. Plants grown in poor-quality soil can be fertilized once during the spring. Avoid over-feeding, which can make the growth lanky.
The Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum is an herbaceous perennial, and dead growth can be removed in the spring when new growth appears.
Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum Spacing
Larinem Park Stonecrop Sedum is a mat-forming groundcover that grows only 4 to 6 inches tall but spreads about twice as wide at 10 to 12 inches. Space plants 8 to 10 inches apart to cover an area.
