This mounding perennial produces single, fuchsia pink flowers with lavender centers above its blue-green foliage in early summer. The fragrant ¾ to 1 inch sized serrated petaled blossoms are long-lasting. The foliage remains evergreen in all but the coldest climates.

This plant is heat and salt tolerant, deer resistant and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. It’s a great choice to plant along walkways, on the edge of border gardens and in mass plantings and rock gardens. It can also be grown as a container plant. Paint the Town Fuchsia Pinks Dianthus can be divided every 2 or 3 years if desired. Paint the Town Fuchsia Pinks Dianthus is sometimes just commonly called pinks.

Paint the Town Fuchsia Pinks Dianthus Care

At maturity, Paint the Town Fuchsia Pinks Dianthus will grow to 6 to 8 inches tall with a spread of 12 to 14 inches. Plant it in well-drained soils in full sun or part shade in USDA hardiness zones 4 to 9. Trim it back a couple of inches at the end of the blooming period to encourage a second bloom cycle. That’s all the maintenance it needs.

Paint the Town Fuchsia Pinks Dianthus Spacing

Space plants 12 to 14 inches apart, center on center, to provide room for spreading.
