Huge, beautiful flowers and lots of them are the hallmarks of the Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink Azalea. The bright, hot pink flowers feature dark pink flecks for added dimension. This reblooming Azalea boasts striking flowers in the spring and again during the late summer or early fall. The dark green foliage contrasts the brilliant flowers. As an evergreen, this shrub retains its leaves throughout the year, so it always provides vibrant visual interest.

Azaleas can provide a burst of color to a flower garden, border, mass planting, hedge, or foundation planting. Feature this shrub in a container to dress up a porch or display the gigantic blooms in a highly visible area. The Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink Azalea is a perennial in USDA growing zones 6b through 9. We recommend covering the plant to protect it from inclement winter weather if that could be a possibility.

Perfecto Mundo® Epic Pink™ Azalea Care

Azaleas do best with full to part sun. A spot that receives partial sunlight throughout the day will help the plant push out more abundant blooms. The Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink Azalea prefers damp soil, but it does not like wet feet, so make sure the plant has good drainage. Place mulch around the base of the plant to retain moisture.

Amend the soil with organic compost or manure when planting. Advanced gardeners may want to test the soil and select an appropriate fertilizer to promote growth. Soil should be slightly acidic and promote drainage. Use a balanced slow-release fertilizer to support new growth and blooms. After the first round of blooms dies back, trim back overgrowth to encourage new growth and even more blooms during the second bloom cycle.

Perfecto Mundo® Epic Pink™ Azalea Spacing

This shrub should grow to 3 to 4 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. If using this Azalea to create a low hedge or foundation planting, shrubs can be placed 3 to 5 feet center to center. Placing the plants close together will ensure a continuous wall of greenery once the plants are mature. If you want to feature empty space around each shrub, leave at least 6 feet from the shrub's center. Select a large container with at least a 16-inch diameter if you intend to grow this Azalea in a pot.
