The Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea gives you the good looks of an azalea but in a groundcover form. Hot pink trumpet-shaped flowers have rounded petals. The showy flowers bloom in the spring, like most azaleas. This beauty heavily blooms again in summer, so you can continue to enjoy the flowers throughout the growing season. The Rhododendron x 'NCRX12' shrub boasts tiny, rounded, green foliage contrasting the flowers.
Use this flowering shrub as a ground cover or as part of a mixed bed. The low-reaching form is excellent for filling areas between other plants or creating a low hedge. The Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea is heat tolerant for dependable color during peak summer weather. The flowers attract pollinators, and the extended bloom cycle means there are more blooms to support bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. As an evergreen, the leaves stay in place throughout the year and offer consistent color. Grow Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea in zones 6 through 9.
Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea Care
The Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea needs part sun to full sun. Plant this shrub in fertile soil that is moist, well drained, and acidic. New plants need regular water for the first year. Established plants prefer moist conditions and should be watered regularly during a drought. Spread organic mulch under the azalea to slow water evaporating from the soil. Fertilize annually to promote growth and support the extended bloom cycle.
Remove damaged growth at any time. Shape the Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea as needed after the first round of flowers fades. It blooms on old and new wood.
Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea Spacing
Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azalea shrubs stand 12 to 24 inches tall and 24 to 30 inches wide. Space azaleas 24 to 30 inches apart to create a dense and continuous planting.
