Pink Fizz Heucherella is a gorgeous clumping perennial with incredible, unusual foliage. The cookie-cuttered leaves are a silvery sage green etched with rich, deep veins of burgundy. The plant has extra appeal when it blooms in early to mid-summer, with fluffy, soft-pink blossoms that rise up to 12 inches above the leaves on slender stems, giving the plant its signature frothy, fizzy name.
Your Pink Fizz Heucherella is a gorgeous hybrid of Heuchera, Coral Bells, and Tiarella, Foamflower. It is very cold hardy and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. It is humidity tolerant and makes an excellent groundcover in a variety of climates and conditions. Deer and other woodland critters will leave your Heucherella alone in favor of tastier treats. Heucherella mounds beautifully.
Pink Fizz Heucherella Care
Pink Fizz Heucherella should be watered regularly and planted in light, slightly moist soil that is neutral to slightly acidic. It prefers dappled or deep shade, but can survive in full sun. It should receive fertilizer annually at the onset of the growing season.
You should remove dead leaves from your Pink Fizz Heucherella all season long. To plant, dig a hole that is two times the width of the root base. Plant your heucherella 1 to 2 inches above the soil level. You should water deeply at planting until it settles, adding more soil if needed. During the winter, thickly mulch the base of the plant to avoid heaving, but avoid mulching around the delicate stem.
Pink Fizz Heucherella Spacing
Pink Fizz is a perfect accent for any garden and grows well in mass or in pots and containers. It also makes a charming border along walkways. Your Heucherella should be planted 18 inches apart from the center to accommodate its wide spread. If you are container planting, choose a pot or container with a minimum depth of 10 inches.
