Hedera Yellow Ripple Ivy (Hedera helix) is a colorful evergreen vine for foliage interest! With silver-green and yellow variegated foliage, Hedera Yellow Ripple Ivy adds a nice twist on traditional ivy. The trailing habit of this vine makes it a perfect selection as a spiller plant in container plantings or as borders in the landscape. Growing in USDA hardiness zones 5-9 at a mature height of 6 inches and a spread of 12 inches. This heat tolerant ivy adds texture and foliage interest to any planting.

Yellow Ripple Ivy has a slow growth rate with a prostrate growing habit and can be used for both inside and outside use. This easy care vine is heat and drought tolerant. The foliage of Yellow Ripple Ivy features 3-5 pointed leaves of remarkable color. Each leaf features green coloring with a silver-grey hue, outlined with yellow. Use as a border plant, groundcover and in mass plantings in the landscape. In a mixed planting container, it can be used as a spiller. Also grows well in hanging baskets and window boxes and in all sorts of other combinations.

Proven Accents® Yellow Ripple Ivy Care

Yellow Ripple Ivy is an easy care, low maintenance evergreen vine. It performs well in full to partial sun in USDA hardiness zones 5 – 9. It has an average water use and tolerates most any soil type. Yellow Ripple benefits from a slow release fertilizer in landscape beds and regular water-soluble liquid fertilizer applications in container planting. Tired looking plants can be rejuvenated with an overall trim with pruning shears back or to keep the shape you prefer.

Yellow Ripple Ivy can be grown as a perennial in mild winter climates that do not get hard freezes. They make excellent indoor plants and will perform well in containers on high light patios and porches. Foliage is gorgeous all year round. Yellow-Ripple Ivy will attach itself by little rootlets to walls, fences or a trellis, so it makes a wonderful ornamental cover for a variety of purposes. Use in pots, hanging baskets, or as a ground cover.

Proven Accents® Yellow Ripple Ivy Spacing

Yellow Ripple Ivy is a low growing groundcover that only reaches 3 - 6 Inches in height but trails up to 12 inches. Spacing should be 8 - 12 inches in landscape beds. In containers, space 10 inches apart.
