More heat-tolerant than other Marguerite Daisy varieties and much brighter, too! The Pure White Butterfly® version of the esteemed Marguerite Daisy is a long blooming, continuous blooming variety that’s covered in swaths of bright white daisy flowers. Pure White Butterfly® is also more heat tolerant than its Marguerite Daisy counterparts, although it prefers cooler nights with temperatures that dip below the mid 70’s. Plant it in a place that gets more than four hours of sunlight per day and be rewarded by its brilliant blooms.
Use the white daisy flowers as a bright “thriller” in your containers. The upright growing habit supports flowers that grow up to 36” tall, and lends itself beautifully to standing out in a combination planting. Or, plant masses of them in the garden to enjoy their dazzling white display. The brilliant white of the blooms also lends itself perfectly to use in a moon garden, as they’ll practically shimmer in the light of a full moon.
Pure White Butterfly® Marguerite Daisy Care
The Pure White Butterfly® is a low-maintenance annual that will bloom continuously without deadheading. If you experience warm temperatures at night (above 75°F), you may need to trim the plant back to encourage rebloom. Water when the first inch of soil is dry to the touch, and fertilize containers regularly.
While it has a higher heat tolerance than other Marguerite Daisy varieties, Pure White Butterfly would still like a reprieve from the heat at night. They do best in climates that experience cooler nighttime temperatures.
Pure White Butterfly® Marguerite Daisy Spacing
Pure White Butterfly® can spread up to 20” when perfectly happy and healthy. However, it doesn’t need that much space when planted in containers or in the ground as an annual. Give 6” of space in containers and 12-14” of space in the garden.
