Mature Spread
Goldilocks Rocks® Bidens starts the show with big, golden‑yellow daisies that light up containers from late spring through fall, while Superbena® Whiteout™ Verbena drapes the edge in snow‑white umbels the size of ping‑pong balls. Threaded among them, the speckled blooms of Superbells® Holy Smokes!® Calibrachoa flash soft lemon petals splashed with denim and lavender. The three Proven Winners selections mature at 8–14 inches tall and weave together into a billowing mound that spills 20–30 inches, perfect for a patio pot, balcony box, or sunny border pocket.
All three components were bred for stamina: Bidens and Calibrachoa handle sweltering afternoons without flagging, and the mildew‑resistant verbena is unfazed by muggy nights. The trio attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies all summer. Plant the mix as a spiller‑filler assembly in porch urns, let it cascade from a hanging basket, or mass several pots along a walkway for a punch of summer color that reads from a distance.
Rockin’ Out Combination Care
Use a coarse, fast‑draining potting soil enriched with slow‑release fertilizer granules. Water thoroughly whenever the top inch of mix feels dry—daily in midsummer heat, or every second or third day in cooler weather. If your soil already contains plant food, supplement with a half‑strength water‑soluble fertilizer once a month; otherwise feed every two weeks to keep flower power high. Deadheading isn’t needed, but a light midsummer trim will tighten the habit and spark new blooms.
Bring containers indoors before risk of frost—zones 10‑11 can enjoy Rockin’ Out outdoors all year. In colder regions move the pot to a bright sunroom when nighttime temperatures dip below 50 degrees F, and treat the planting as a short‑term winter accent; growth slows under cool indoor light, and plants are typically replaced with fresh starts each spring.
Rockin’ Out Combination Spacing
One recipe—two Goldilocks Rocks®, two Superbells® Holy Smokes!®, and one Superbena® Whiteout™—fills a 12‑ to 14‑inch pot with room to spare. Step up to an 18‑inch patio tub by doubling each component, or space individual transplants 10–12 inches apart at a border’s edge for a low, trailing ribbon of color. In hanging baskets choose a basket at least 10 inches deep to support the 20‑inch drape of mature stems.
