The stunning 5-inch wide peach blooms of Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla will brighten up any vertical space of your choosing. A climbing vine, Mandevilla 'Giant Peach Sunrise' produces glossy green leaves and can grow to a height of 6 to 10 feet. This plant makes a fabulous climber for annual color and is evergreen in southern areas.
The Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla is a vigorous, but tender climber that is winter hardy in zones 10 to 11. It is heat tolerant, has great disease resistance and tends to be left alone by any roaming deer. This Mandevilla is ideal for growing up a vertical structure such as an obelisk or for training along a wall or fence. It flowers from spring to summer.
Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla Care
The Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla performs best in full sun. It prefers a fertile, moist and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It needs regular irrigation during the growing season. A slow-release, balanced fertilizer applied in spring as the new shoots appear will help support its vigorous growth and flowering.
Deadheading is not strictly required but will help keep a neat appearance. Prune as needed in early spring before new growth begins, but remove no more than 30% of the vines.
Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla Spacing
The Sun Parasol® Giant Peach Sunrise Mandevilla can grow to 6 to 10 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Multiple plants can be grown at a spacing of around 48 inches apart.
