The bright yellow flowers with a darker throat of the Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow Mandevilla will add an injection of cheering color wherever you plant them. A new Mandevilla hybrid, Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow will flower from early summer until the fall and contrasts nicely against its dark green foliage. Growing to a maximum 2 feet tall, this colorful annual has a multitude of garden uses.
The Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow Mandevilla forms a neat and bushy habit and will attract butterflies and hummingbirds when it is in bloom. Easy to grow and care for, Sun Parasol Sunbeam readily grows in a container, hanging basket or window trough. This mandevilla is equally effective when grown at the front of a border or to line a pathway.
Sun Parasol® Sunbeam Mandevilla Care
For the best floral display, Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow Mandevilla likes as much sunlight as it can get. However, it can also tolerate partial shade. To encourage continual blooming, grow it in a fertile and free-draining soil top-dressed with compost. Water regularly, especially during hot weather to prevent the soil from drying out and the foliage from wilting. Apply a slow-release fertilizer in spring and later in the season as required. If flowering dwindles, you can lightly prune to promote more buds.
Grown as an annual, the Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow Mandevilla will flower up until the first frost. Bring indoors if the temperatures dip below 50 degrees Fahrenheit or to overwinter.
Sun Parasol® Sunbeam Mandevilla Spacing
The Sun Parasol Sunbeam Yellow Mandevilla has a mature size of 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. When growing en masse, a spacing of 20 to 30 inches will allow for a solid block of cheering color.
