The very first double Asiatic Lily, Tiny Double You Lily, is a vast summer bloomer, bred to have shorter stems than other Asiatic lilies. These stems maintain a stiff and upright form with dark green foliage in a spear-like shape. Huge double flowers with a unique orange color bloom exuberantly all summer long. You'll never want for lilies again with the large number of flowers this plant can produce in just one summer!
Incredibly easy to grow and low maintenance, this lily attracts butterflies and hummingbirds galore with its fragrant scent and vivid color. Tiny Double You Lily is hardy in zones 3 through 8 and is resistant to deer. Cut flowers are perfect for adding life and fresh air to indoor spaces and can act as the perfect gift for a loved one. Plant this herbaceous perennial in mass quantities in an island bed, or plant it in a container with other flowers and greenery for a beautiful mixed display.
Tiny Double You Lily Care
Plant Tiny Double You Lily in average, sandy, or clay soil in a well-drained area that receives full to partial sun. This lily thrives in slightly acidic soil but is also tolerant to alkaline and normal pH soil. Water your plant regularly, keeping the soil moist but not soggy, taking special care to check the soil during the first few weeks of establishment. This lily grows at a medium growth rate, so feed yearly with an organic bulb fertilizer in the spring or fall. Add a layer of mulch in the fall to protect the bulbs from harsh winter conditions.
Prune your lily in late fall after a hard freeze takes it down to ground level. Do not prune before the leaves turn brown and have fallen; they nourish the bulb and help produce next year's blooms.
Tiny Double You Lily Spacing
This lily has a mature height of 15 to 18 inches and a mature spread of 12 to 15 inches. Space your plantings 9 to 12 inches apart and plant them 6 inches deep.
